Atomic All-Star Camp held, Freeride Session newly established this season

The annual Atomic All-Star Camp is an event where professional skiers from the Japan Atomic Team and users can interact through lessons and other activities. This season, the camp will be held over two days, from April 17th (Sat) to April 18th (Sun), at Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort

Every year, hundreds of fans visit Nozawa Onsen for this festival event, which marks the end of the season

The athlete guests will include promising young athletes such as Seigo Kato, a Japanese representative from the local Nozawa Onsen, in the alpine racing category, Ryu Sugai, who recently came second at the Russia World Cup in the ski cross category, and Ryu Takeda, Japan's top demonstrator, in the demo category, bringing together a distinguished lineup of people you don't usually get to see

In addition, a new FREERIDE SESSION will be added this season, with lessons in "freeride, slopestyle, and halfpipe."

The freeride team will feature Tsuyoshi Kodama, who has skied down North America's highest peak, Denali, and other big mountains around the world. Slopestyle will feature Gen Sasaki, a former member of the Japanese national team and currently active in freeride skiing. In halfpipe, Sochi Olympic bronze medalist Ayana Onozuka will also be joining the team, making for another impressive lineup

The FREERIDE category is established with the aim of nurturing young freeskiers who are expected to excel in the future. Specifically, it aims to train athletes who will compete in the Freeride Junior Tour, a world freeride skiing competition. The Slopestyle/Halfpipe categories aim to train athletes who will compete in world competitions such as FIS in the future.
Therefore, the target age for participation is 15 to 19 years old for the Freeride category, and upper elementary school to high school seniors for the Slopestyle and Halfpipe categories. (There are no age restrictions for the other categories of camps.)

Advance registration is required to participate in the camp. You can choose to attend for one day or both days of the two-day event.
This is a once-a-year, unique camping event.
