Big Air Shougang (Ski & Snowboard Big Air)
The biggest attraction will be the Big Air venue. It was specially built for the Olympics in Beijing. It will be the world's first special venue for Big Air. It was built on the site of a former steel mill, with four industrial cooling towers in the background. It is beautifully lit up at night.
Uncho Snow Park (Slopestyle and half hype venue for skiing and snowboarding)
Approximately 180km northwest of Beijing, the Zhangjiakou area is visited by many snow sports enthusiasts in China. Untop Snow Park in an existing ski resort. Two venues, Park A for freestyle skiing and Park B for snowboarding, will accommodate 7,500 spectators each.
This is a moguls race course!
Here is the mogul course completed just before the opening. If you look around, you can see some bushes, but the course is in perfect condition, and it is said that 90% of the venue is made of artificial snow. The competition is held at night. The temperature drops to -20°C. The hot battle that unfolds in the extreme cold is a must-see. Live broadcasts from various TV stations are also scheduled, so be sure to watch!
Introducing the slopestyle course!
Here is the snowboard/ski slopestyle course that was finally released the other day. The outstanding design is full of Chinese culture colors. The snow wall, which is reminiscent of the Great Wall of China, is laid out in stages and functions as a windbreak for the athletes who are skating. Divided into 6 sections, the variety, size, and perfection of the items, above all else, is highly acclaimed as a “next level” artistic course. Let's watch the introductory video!
The half pipe course is also complete!
It seems that the half-pipe course is ready for the competition from February 9th. As you can see, it's a radiant beauty. Perfect conditions! And. The men's qualifying and finals are scheduled to be televised, so let's enjoy the world's best trick competition on this stage.
