Jozankei Onsen is a hot spring resort representing Hokkaido with a history of over 150 years. Located about 45 minutes by car from Sapporo, it is a tourist spot full of hot spring atmosphere and is also known as Sapporo's inner sanctum. Surrounding Jozankei Onsen are famous snow resorts such as Sapporo Kokusai, Sapporo Teine, Kiroro, as well as Niseko and Russ, making it a popular stop for skiers and snowboarders on their way from Sapporo. This monitor tour, based in Jozankei Onsen, is escorted by mountain guide Daisuke Sasaki and offers powder tours to Niseko, Rusutsu, Sapporo Kokusai, and other locations, with the choice of location depending on the day's conditions, all in search of powder.

Stay overnight in Jozankei, and on the second and third days (2/27-28) you'll take a guided side country tour led by Daisuke Sasaki. From New Chitose Airport to Jozankei, you can choose to rent a car (4WD, studless), or for those who are nervous about driving, a hire car plan is also available. A bus will be provided from the hotel to the slopes. The guide will decide on the day where to ski depending on snow and weather conditions (a two-day lift ticket is included in the price)

Profile: Daisuke Sasaki

Born in Sapporo. Starting as an apprentice mountain guide, he competed in extreme skiing competitions overseas. He skied down famous peaks around the world, setting numerous records. His aggressive, worldwide adventures have made him an unparalleled freeskier representing Japan. While continuing to achieve feats that only Daisuke Sasaki can achieve, he also became an international mountain guide. Since 2010, he has run "Guide Bankei," providing full-scale backcountry skiing services both in Japan and overseas

① Skiing and snowboarding locations intended for advanced skiers and snowboarders
: Ski resorts in the Niseko area, Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort, Teine Ski Resort, Rusutsu Resort, Kiroro Snow World
*In guided tours, skiing "outside the gates" is also planned depending on the conditions on the day and the wishes of the participants at each ski resort, so please bring avalanche safety gear such as a helmet and beacon.
