Located in the open and spacious environment surrounded by the abundant nature of Shizukuishi, Jiyuya Summer Ski Resort is a popular spot for enjoying outdoor activities. The vast grounds are divided into a "water jump area," a "jib area," and a "skateboard area," each offering a unique and enjoyable experience. It's
especially popular on rainy days when the speed increases, and it operates in all conditions except strong winds, providing a satisfying environment even for serious advanced riders. Furthermore, it boasts numerous sponsored riders and offers generous support to athletes.
Water jumparea
This water jump area offers an exhilarating attraction where you can ski or snowboard down a slope covered with resin brushes and jump into a pool. It features three lines of varying difficulty levels, allowing you to gradually increase your skill.
While previously used primarily as a training facility for competitive sports, renovations have broadened its appeal, and it's now enjoyed more as a recreational activity. With parental supervision, even children as young as four can participate, making it enjoyable for a wide range of ages.
Jib Area
Similar to the water jump, you can ski or snowboard down a slope covered with plastic brush, and practice jib items such as boxes and rails. Currently, there are two items installed: boxes and PVC rails
Skateboarding Area
The skateboard area is divided into four sections, primarily featuring skate ramps and bowls for beginners to intermediate riders. There's also a free service offering simple advice for those trying skateboarding for the first time. Another
great feature is the free use of the changing rooms, showers, toilets, rest areas, and lockers within the facility.
The "World's Best Water Fighting Tournament," with a 2027 season pass as the prize, will be held for the first time!
This summer, Jiyuya will host its first-ever unique three-match event. A comprehensive competition that tests not only skill but also luck and intellect, the event will consist of three matches: the first on July 26th (Sunday), followed by matches on August 30th (Sunday) and September 19th (Saturday). The appeal is that anyone has a chance to win the overall championship
The first round is the "Grab Trick Championship," where you can grab onto the board or your body anywhere. The second round is the "Common Sense Jump Championship," which combines jumps with a general knowledge quiz. And the final round is the "Best Jump One-Shot Championship," where participants compete to see who has practiced the most
The participation fee is 2,000 yen per race. The overall winner will receive a 2027 season pass. Applications are accepted via direct message on the official Instagram account
