Klattermusen's latest hard shell, the Svalinn Hood Jacket, is a high-performance jacket for ski mountaineering that combines lightweight, durable, and flexible athletic performance. The main material is a 3-layer CUTAN® fabric (bluesign® certified) containing biomass polyamide, which combines lightness with high stretchability and waterproof/breathable properties at 40 denier
The shoulders and hem are reinforced with Duracoat™ for excellent abrasion resistance, and the jacket is designed for use with a backpack or when in contact with snow. The front diagonal two-way zipper avoids interference with the chin, and two-way ventilation is located under the armpits. The helmet-compatible hood fits securely even when not wearing a helmet, achieving both freedom of movement and safety
Other features include a removable snow skirt, triangle reflectors for increased visibility, and a built-in RECCO® avalanche rescue system, all of which are essential for the field. Convenience is also top-notch, with a waterproof zippered Napoleon pocket, two hand pockets, an internal mesh goggle pocket, and a safety pocket on the left sleeve.
