New climbing skins that are easy to put on and take off are now available
Next season, the climbing skins will undergo a complete redesign. While retaining the strong adhesive power of the previous model's "Gold Label Glue," the skins will now be easier to peel off from one another. In the US, there were some complaints that the adhesive was "too strong," so the improved model optimizes the balance, updating it to be easier to use for women and beginners touring
On the other hand, there is no compromise on the climbing performance that is the essence of these skins. They provide a secure grip when walking and can be peeled off without stress when switching between modes, achieving an ideal user experience. They enable smooth attachment and detachment even in harsh snowy mountain environments, making handling more comfortable during tours. Their ease of use will be particularly noticeable when repeatedly climbing in low-temperature environments
The material is a nylon/mohair mix that offers a good balance of grip and glide, and it comes in two widths: 110mm and 135mm

The lightweight touring skis "Heliocarbon" are proving popular
For the 2025-2026 season, the "Helio Carbon" series has been redesigned to improve handling and ride quality, and features refreshed graphics. Designed for mountain skiing and long tours, it achieves an overwhelming balance of lightness and gliding performance. It features high vibration absorption and rigidity, dispelling the common impression of conventional carbon skis being "too light and unstable."
Among them, the 102 and 108 models are the lightest among those using poplar wood. They also offer versatility and are highly rated by users. Designed to firmly grip the snow surface without wobbling, even on rough slopes and hardpack, they truly shine in backcountry settings. They are a reliable choice for technically-minded touring and mountaineering skiers

BRAND features
Black Diamond is a comprehensive brand that offers a wide variety of reliable mountaineering equipment, from climbing and backcountry gear to trekking gear. Its roots lie in the brand established by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia. Before founding Patagonia, Chouinard established Chouinard Equipment, a brand of climbing gear such as harnesses, and Black Diamond was born by taking over from that company
Since then, it has grown into a major top brand in the mountaineering world, focusing on climbing and trekking equipment. In the snowfield, it has a strong presence in backcountry gear including skis and poles, and especially safety gear such as avalanche beacons, shovels, probes, and airbags, earning it a high level of trust and support
