Introducing the "CANVAS" series, showcasing the artist's sensibilities
In recent years, BLIZZARD's freeride line has garnered strong support from core skiers. With an artist joining the development team of riders and engineers, a new series called "CANVAS" has been released, aimed at skiers seeking a freer and more playful riding experience
The graphics were created byPenelope Misa. Using a technique called "monotype," which involves applying ink to acrylic sheets and printing it only once, she built the design based on abstract visuals of enlarged photographs of snow plumes and other elements converted into monochrome. The energy and emotions of the skiers are expressed in these images.
Examples of works
In addition to its eye-catching top sheet, the core material utilizes the brand's unique "TRUEBLEND WOODCORE" technology. By optimizing the flex by dividing it into three zones, it achieves a supple yet stable ride even at high speeds
Three types available
The lineup includes three models with waist widths of 100, 108, and 118mm. The widest model, "CANVAS 118," not only ensures high buoyancy in powder but, combined with its flexible wood core, also accommodates park-like tricks. Its lightweight design and excellent maneuverability allow for highly flexible riding
Instead of overpowering the terrain with sheer force, it's like drawing smooth turns with a firm brush. This feeling draws out your creativity as you ski. It's a ski that allows you to treat the entire snowy mountain as a canvas, enabling you to enjoy free expression
The manufacturer's recommended color is purple!
When you think of BLIZZARD's brand color these days, you might picture the orange that's symbolized by the "FIREBIRD" series. However, this season's key color for BLIZZARD is a stylish purple!Lara Colturi, who is active in the World Cup, and the industry trend, symbolizes precision, power, and performance.
The racing line's SL skis, as well as the short to medium-turn skis popular with those aiming for technical competitions and certifications in Japan, have been repainted in a vibrant purple, and other models also feature accent colors throughout
The name "Triple Metal," used in the top-of-the-line "FIREBIRD" model, might give the impression of an intimidating board. However, by layering thin metal sheets in a mille-feuille-like fashion, the total thickness is kept to the same level as a typical double-metal board. This intricate internal structure, contrary to appearances, is what enables powerful and precise control that synchronizes with the rider's intentions

A new model has arrived that offers not only a sophisticated design that elevates your mood and a light, agile ride, but also the joy of customization. Derived from the short-turn SRC, it expands to the medium-turn MT and the long-turn LT. Two types of plates and three types of bindings are available as options, allowing you to customize the optimal configuration to suit your power and preferences

Blizzard is a long-established Austrian brand founded in 1945. It has had a long history in the European and American Aspen racing scene, but due to industry trends, it became part of the Technica Group in 2006. Blizzard offers a wide range of products, from racing models to freeride and touring skis, but the freeride line in particular has seen remarkable growth in recent years due to increased use in the FWT (Freeride Word Tour)
The freeride line's flagship models, "RUSTER" and "SHEEVA," are characterized by their light weight, excellent gliding performance, and excellent bounce, and are highly regarded as masterpieces. This is due to the development team of engineers and riders working together to thoroughly test and create even better products
