This season marks the full rollout of the Dual Dial BOA® Fit System for alpine ski boots . This comes just two seasons after the release of the Single Dial System, which replaced the lower shell buckle with a BOA. This system features BOA technology on both the upper and lower shell of the boot, delivering a dramatic improvement in performance over traditional buckle systems.
This performance has been scientifically proven at the research facility at BOA's headquarters in the United States, and the specific improvements include:
- Reduces peak pressure on the top of the foot by up to 13%
- Up to 19% better calf containment and connection
- Up to 6% more power transfer
- Up to 10% more stability and control
This reduces the pressure and pain that skiers often experience from their boots, while increasing the sense of unity with the boot, resulting in more efficient power transfer and a more direct response to the skis
The BOA Fit System is trusted by top ski brands worldwide for its outstanding performance and reliability. By the 2025-26 season, products featuring single or dual dial solutions from 10 brands, including Atomic, K2, Fischer, Salomon, Dalbello, Head, Lange, Nordica, Rossignol, and Technica, will be available in over 1,500 pro shops worldwide
Six brands will be releasing boots featuring the new Dual Dial Solution: Atomic, K2, Salomon, Dalbello, Head and Nordica, all of which are backed by the BOA Lifetime Warranty
The dual system has also been praised by top athletes such as two-time Olympic gold medalist and three-time World Champion alpine skier Benjamin Reich and freeskier Sam Kuch
