Fischer has announced that it will be holding an introductory backcountry skiing event. Yuki Shibata and Yukiyasu Matsuzawa, ski guides certified by the Japan Mountain Guides Association, will be teaching beginners the know-how and fun of ski touring in an easy-to-understand manner
Introductory courses and experiences will be held around the summit area of GALA Yuzawa using TOUR and FREERIDE skis with tech bindings. Participants must have the skills to ski parallel alpine skis. Ski bindings and skins will be available for free rental. Be sure to bring boots compatible with tech bindings to participate in the event. (Boot rentals are available in limited quantities.)
The participation fee is 4,400 yen per person, and the deadline for the first application is 12 noon on Friday, March 8th, and the deadline for the second application is 12 noon on Friday, March 15th. Applications will close once the capacity for each day is reached, so please apply early
