The event "FUTURE LAB. 2026 joint with DRRREAM SESSION," aimed at promoting battery-powered solar-powered rope tows and proposing sustainable snow activities, is currently being held at Yudono-san Ski Resort in Yamagata Prefecture for three days from March 20th (Fri, holiday) to 22nd (Sun), 2026
This event is a collaboration between "Future Lab.," a project organized by " DIGGIN' MAGAZINE " that uses solar-powered rope tows to enjoy snowboarding, snowskating, and snow toys, and "DRRREAM SESSION," a skiing event created through a partnership between the Terrain Research Society

In line with the DRRREAM SESSION's philosophy of "enjoying what you can do on foot," "FUTURE LAB.", which explores sustainable ways of engaging with snow-covered mountains, started in 2022 and is now in its fifth year. By powering rope tows (simple lifts) with solar energy, they have been exploring ways to reduce lift operating costs and the possibility of new utilization models for local ski resorts that are facing closures. Since last year, they have introduced battery storage to ensure stable operation even in bad weather, and are making progress in verifying practical applications
