Snow helmets have been added to the DAKINE lineup this season and are essential for protecting the head from impacts and obstacles in the event of a fall. While helmets are widely used in Europe and the US, their usage rate is still low in Japan
As part of its efforts to ensure the safety of winter sports enthusiasts, DAKINE will begin safety awareness activities with Fujiten Snow Resort in the 2024-2025 season, with ski resort patrols wearing DAKINE helmets and helmets available for rental at schools

What is DAKINE?
This outdoor gear brand was founded in 1979 on the island of Maui, Hawaii, USA. Founder Rob Kaplan began by manufacturing leashes for local surfers for big waves. The name comes from the Hawaiian pidgin English word for "The Kind," which has the connotation of "the best" or "this is it!" The brand is known for its high-quality, durable products that can withstand the harsh conditions of outdoor sports, and many of its products use environmentally friendly materials and manufacturing methods
DAKINE HELMET
DAKINE helmets, introduced this season, are made with a durable hard shell. They are equipped with the MIPS® Brain Protection System, which reduces brain damage in the event of a collision. The fit system dial allows for fine adjustment of the fit, ensuring a comfortable fit. The straps use a magnetic buckle, making them easy to fasten. Recycled materials are used in some parts of the product
