Klättermusen, an outdoor brand from Sweden, will open its second directly managed store in Japan, following one in Tokyo, in the Minamisenba area of Osaka. The grand opening will be at 12:00 on Friday, July 18, 2025. As the brand's first flagship location in Western Japan, it will be a place where customers can experience the brand's worldview firsthand
"One in the east and one in the west": A new base dreamed of through trial and error
Sputnik Co., Ltd., the Japanese importer of Klattermusen, has been entrusted with reviving the brand since 2019. Over the past five years, the company has aimed to have two locations, one in the east and one in the west, where the brand's philosophy and craftsmanship can be directly conveyed
Following on from the first store in Jimbocho, Tokyo, the Osaka store is the second chapter in realizing this vision. It is expected to close the gap with the many Klattermusen enthusiasts in Western Japan who have been there for many years, and also to make new connections with fans who previously traveled to the Tokyo store
The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the brand's founding and the 25th anniversary of its arrival in Japan. Opening a base in Kansai at such a memorable time is significant. The aim is to convey the brand's "functional beauty" and sustainable philosophy through the product selection and space that can only be found in a directly managed store
