This work was created by filmmaker Jimmy Chin, a mountain athlete himself who climbs and skis in harsh environments. In 2002, he was selected as the cinematographer for the Tibetan Changtang Plateau trek, and in 2006, he was part of an American team that became the first person to successfully ski down from the summit of Mount Everest
His film "Free Solo," which followed Alex Honnold, the free solo climbing superstar who climbs without the use of safety equipment such as safety ropes, won numerous awards, including the Academy Award® for Best Documentary Feature. Jimmy Chin follows these world-class athletes closely, inviting them into a world of thrilling adventure through video and archival footage
