The brand's origins lie in Cardiff Fork in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, USA. Founder and architect Sam Bawden had been a fan of trekking and snowboarding since childhood, but realized he lacked the right equipment for riding the mountains in his hometown. He
then combined his years of mountaineering and snowboarding knowledge with his experience as an architect to create a unique and high-quality freeriding snowboard.
