Muikamachi Hakkaisan Ski Resort will reopen on Saturday, February 27th! We've been waiting for you! Welcome back!

Powder Land Muikamachi Hakkaisan's powder is back! We can still expect some deep powder days!

The store was temporarily closed for a while to put in place measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but will reopen for business on Saturday, February 27th. The following is from Facebook

Muikamachi Hakkaisan is a ski resort famous for its deep powder and a favorite among powder lovers. It was closed during the peak season, even though there was a lot of snow this winter, which must have disappointed many skiers and snowboarders. For those who have been eagerly awaiting the reopening, there is still powder to enjoy in the second half of the season. Come and enjoy the abundant snow that accumulated during the closure!

long courses along the ropeway are ungroomed, with 40%

The 81-seater ropeway takes just five minutes to reach the 1,100m summit. The vertically-oriented course layout from the top offers numerous long runs, including Mount Hakkai's iconic 3km downhill course. Many of these runs are ungroomed, making Mount Hakkai a rare destination for skiers, offering a wealth of long powder runs while efficiently using a single ropeway. The

ungroomed "Expert Course" directly below the summit station offers a particularly satisfying 700m powder ride, with a maximum gradient of 38 degrees and an average of 27 degrees, creating spray. The somewhat steep "Challenge Course" above the basin is also ungroomed. Furthermore, both "Separate Zones A and B" are ungroomed, meaning that approximately 40% of the total snow is ungroomed. Mount Hakkai is a heavy-snow region boasting snowfall well over 300cm during the peak season, making it a popular ski resort for skiers with a high rate of deep powder hits.
