Spring has arrived again in Tateyama! Today, Thursday, April 15, 2021, the entire Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route was opened to traffic. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the entire route, and it is expected that many people will visit
For skiers who love powder snow and backcountry skiing, this time of year in Mt. Tateyama is special. Depending on the timing, you can enjoy powder snow just after the alpine routes open, and there are plenty of other exciting things to enjoy, such as film crust and superb corn snow that are unique to spring. Even after the Golden Week holidays in May and into June, the conditions are still perfect. Enjoy the 3,000m-class mountain runs that are unique to this season!
