Patagonia's Hokkaido flagship store, Patagonia Sapporo, will have its grand opening on Friday, December 12th. The new store, located a five-minute walk from Sapporo Station and directly connected to the underground walkway "Chi-Ka-Ho," was created by integrating two existing stores, and will provide activities in collaboration with the local community and clothing repair services.

The new store is a single-floor space of approximately 100 tsubo (approx. 330 sq. m), and features a design that makes use of the warmth of wood. The exterior of the store is made of Sapporo soft stone, while the flooring and tables are made of certified and reclaimed wood from Hokkaido. Inside the store, there will also be a gallery themed around Hokkaido's nature and culture, which will serve as a place to share the story of the region.
A counter will be set up inside the store to provide information and reports on the activities of the grant recipients to whom Patagonia donates 1% of its sales. In addition, workshops will be held by pioneers in various fields, including skiing, snowboarding, climbing, and fishing, to share the appeal of Hokkaido's fields.
Additionally, a permanent Worn Wear repair booth will be set up, offering lectures on simple repairs and self-maintenance methods for clothing. The store will also offer a lineup of outdoor gear and clothing suitable for Hokkaido's natural environment, including skiing, mountain climbing, and surfing, as well as kids' and baby products and Patagonia Provisions food products, offering a product lineup that combines functionality and environmental friendliness.
With the mission of "We are in business to save our home planet," Patagonia is embarking on a new challenge in Hokkaido as a base for promoting coexistence with nature and collaboration with the local community.
