POW's Campaign with SRA (Sustainable Resort Alliance)
SRA (Sustainable Resort Alliance) was launched in December 2023 by Protect Our Winters (POW) Japan, which is engaged in various activities to "achieve a carbon-neutral society initiated by the snow community." It is a platform that connects snow resorts aiming for sustainable operation with companies and individual skiers and snowboarders. STEEP has selected snow resorts and resort management companies that are members of SRA and spoke to them about their aims for joining SRA and the activities they are undertaking to become more sustainable
I think it's clear that Hakuba Happo-one Ski Resort, Katashina Kogen Ski Resort, Smile Resort, Able Hakuba Goryu, and Tokyu Land Corporation each have their own unique perspectives and ideas, and are engaged in a variety of activities. If you haven't read it yet, it's featured in STEEP's"Let's Think About the Future of Snow - THINK SNOW"section, so please check it out.
POW's "Support with one click! Campaign" will also end on March 31st
If you have a favorite ski resort, support your favorite resort by working to become a decarbonized, sustainable resort and become a greener one! This campaign allows you to take part in climate change action in a broader sense with a simple action of answering a simple questionnaire. The deadline for responses is up soon, so be sure to participate while you can
Support with one click! Campaignン ~ Until March 31st!
