Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort is currently running a program called "The Karuizawa Exploration Team," where participants can learn about the ski resort and its natural environment through various experiences. This program
is being offered as a new school activity at the Lion Snowboard School every weekend until March 2022.
This program was planned with the aim of "learning through experience, raising awareness of the importance of coexistence between humans and nature and the issues they face, making the SDGs their own personal concern, and changing their behavior." It was produced by SOTOLAB, which plans and manages outdoor education programs for elementary school children
The following courses are available for elementary school students:
"Kids Nature 1-Day Course," which combines snowboarding lessons and nature school;
"Kids Nature PM," which only includes the nature school
; and "Family Night," which is for families and groups to explore the ski resort at night and enjoy a bonfire.
All of the activities are sure to inspire children to try them out and are sure to be a hit with the kids.
As part of an expedition team, participants can search for Rabbids hiding in the forest, experience working at a ski resort, and learn about the SDGs by exploring the winter forest.

Participation Fee: Kids 1 Day (Snowboarding lesson, work experience, forest exploration) ¥18,000
Kids PM (Work experience, forest exploration) ¥6,000
Family Night (forest exploration, bonfire) ¥4,000 for adults, ¥2,000 for elementary school students and toddlers
Participation requirements: Elementary school students (excluding Family Night)
Capacity: 8 people ( Due to the spread of COVID-19, the capacity has been reduced )
