Snow Peak has released a collaboration item with mountain of moods. This collaboration, which marks the third year since the first snow activity wear was released, marks the first time that the two brands have collaborated. mountain of moods, whose creative director is former professional snowboarder Masakazu Fukuyama, is a brand based in Minakami Town at the foot of Mount Tanigawa in Gunma Prefecture
For this collaboration, the 3L snow shell jacket has been updated, and nine new styles will be released, including fleece jackets and parkas. While designed for activities in harsh environments, they are also suitable for everyday use. Here are some of the items
◆3L Graphen Jacket
This is an updated 3L snow shell jacket. It uses a carbon fiber-derived membrane called "Graphen," which combines waterproof, breathable, and temperature-regulating properties. The semi-long length, powder guard, and adjustable hem at the sides prevent snow from getting inside the jacket. There are ventilation holes under the armpits, a passport pocket on the left cuff, and a goggle pocket on the left inner chest. The chest pocket is large, making it suitable for a variety of uses.
It comes in two colors, black and navy, and four sizes, from S to XL. The price is 71,500 yen (tax included).
◆Fleece Balaclava Hoodie
This fleece pullover is easy to layer and uses Polartec® as its base textile. It is lightweight, highly breathable, and durable, making it comfortable to wear in any situation. The stand-up collar with an integrated hood and hood adjuster function allow you to adjust the fit to your liking.
It comes in two colors, black and navy, and four sizes, from S to XL. The price is 19,800 yen (tax included).
◆Washi × Merino Wool Guide Socks Long
As the name suggests, this washi yarn is made using "washi" (traditional Japanese paper). It was created using the Mino washi papermaking techniques handed down for generations in the Mino region of Gifu Prefecture. While washi paper often comes across as a material that is prone to tearing when wet and therefore not very durable, this washi yarn does not dissolve or tear even when washed. Mino washi yarn is characterized by its excellent moisture absorption, antibacterial properties, deodorizing properties, crispness, and lightness, making it the ideal material for socks.
This Mino washi yarn is combined with Oshu merino wool, which also boasts excellent moisture absorption, deodorizing, and moisturizing properties, as well as being soft and gentle on the skin. It uses the highest quality yarn, dyed and twisted in the Oshu region of Aichi Prefecture, known as one of the world's three major wool-producing regions.
Available in two colors, navy and black, and three sizes, S to L. Priced at 4,400 yen (tax included).
Other collaboration products include graphic t-shirts and fleece caps with a motif of Mount Tanigawa, a common theme between the two brands.
The products will be available at select Snow Peak directly managed stores, the official online store, and other stores nationwide from Saturday, September 17, 2022. Reservations are being accepted on the official online store until 9:59 on Saturday, September 17, leading up to the release date. Stock is limited, so make your reservation early.
