A new rare limited edition "VA-TD (Versant Dual Tail)" model is now available! |'25-26 BLASTRACK

Manufacturers are continually announcing new models for the 2025-26 season at exhibitions and test ride events. We spoke to Ogasaka Ski, a long-established Japanese manufacturer with a long history and high technical capabilities, about the BLASTRACK skis at JSP SNOW EXPO JAPAN 2025 (held February 12-13, 2025 at Pacifico Yokohama) and the Dream Gate-sponsored 2025-26 New Model Test Ride (held March 1-2, 2025 at Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort)

"VA-DT (Versant Dual Tail)" now available!

Exhibition at "JSP SNOW EXPO JAPAN2025"

Most importantly attention to BLASTRACK's '25-26 season! The new model is the VA-DT (Versant Dual Tail). The big fat with a waist width of 120mm, the distinctive feature is the shape of the tail. The dual tail, which cuts about 20cm, harmonizes softness and twist in a balanced way, allowing you to enjoy a smooth, accelerated look in the second half of the turn, even on hard burns, which are said to be bad for fat skis.

In slushy situations in early spring, thanks to the good snow sweep, you will be able to experience powerful off-road performance even in bad snow. The stability in the wasteland makes you forget that the VA-DT is a thick, long ski. With its large camber that can be firmly stepped into even in powder, and the dual tails that allow you to enjoy powder riding in a bold, straight line, the ultimate weapon has been created. When you actually see it, you can clearly see the power of this model.

Hirase Masumi, a BLASTRACK rider and also in charge of development, introduced the "VA-DT" at the test drive event.

"IMPROVE 90" full model change

The IMPROVE series has undergone a full model change for the first time. Until now, IMPROVE has had two waist widths, 86mm and 93mm, but while maintaining its strong grip and supple riding feel, the nose shape, components, and balance have been better adjusted, and integrated into a single waist of 90mm. The synergistic effect of a slightly smaller side curve, a long nose and a supple flex improves operability, providing smooth and light slippage that does not cause snags or stalls on rough burns, or stress-free.

From relaxed cruising at Onpiste to sharp carving, powder, rough snow in spring to packed snow burning in high seasons and park riding, the result is a multi-purpose finish that can be enjoyed regardless of the situation or snow quality. The graphics are also stylish. Be sure to check out the explanatory video too.

Both the "ELIXIR" models, "L" and "E" have been fully remodeled

The two "ELIXIR" models, "L" and "E" were expected to be popular at the test drive event, and there were several test drive machines available.

The fastest model, the ELIXIR/E, and the lightest model, the ELIXIR/L, of the ELIXIR series, one of BLASTRACK's signature skis, have also undergone a full model change for the 2025-26 season.

The ELIXIR/E inherits the conventional stability and run-off ability at high speeds, and uses flexible glass fibers to improve operability to accommodate a variety of situations, including uneven terrain and bumpy slopes. The Contact -Control function and the round shape of the tail allow for more natural and smoother turns. Its ability to run at high speeds, particularly on steep slopes and rough burns, is outstanding among all BRASTRACK models.

ELIXIR/E

ELIXIR/E | 125-80.5-110mm | R = 18m (177cm) | L = 165,171,177 cm ¥149,600

In addition to being the lightest in the series, the "ELIXIR/L" has also been given the stability of the "ELIXIR/L" that is unlikely to be a light ski due to changes in the components and balancing adjustments. It's a machine that won't tire you out even if you're skiing all day. The Contact -Control function that lifts the nose due to load and the longer tail rocker ensures a natural and smooth turn. The lightweight and highly maneuverable "L" is a machine that won't let you get tired even if you slip for a long time. From compact snow burning to irregular terrain, powder, and rough snow in spring, you can enjoy it all year round. It is also recommended for the Telemark, and at the test drive event there was also a test drive aircraft equipped with heel-free bindings.
