FUTURELIGHT is made using nanospinning, a technology that creates an ultrafine mesh structure at the nanometer level using polyurethane fibers. While hydrophobic polyurethane is impermeable to water, the fine mesh allows breathability and ventilation.

Conventional waterproof and breathable membranes release moisture by forcing the air inside the garment outward due to the pressure difference between the air inside and the outside. This means that moisture cannot escape until a pressure difference is created between the air inside and the outside.
However, the appeal of FUTURELIGHT is that it allows air to pass through, allowing moisture to escape even without a pressure difference. This allows for continuous, moisture-wicking activity from start to finish, even during climbs.
