A simple and sturdy setup typical of "Hard Gear"

Mountain Hardwear has been researching and developing gear for high altitude mountaineering since its founding in 1993. The Mythogen Set-Up, launched this season, is a definitive freeride wear packed with snow gimmicks that are typical of "mountaineering equipment."

Eight large waterproof zippered pockets on top and bottom! Elbow reinforcements create a block design. A synthetic-fiber inner chest pocket keeps your smartphone warm. Long ventilation in the bibs allows for smooth ventilation and excretion. Its innovative, unique, and sturdy specifications will catch the eye of any skier

The core of Mythogen's clothing is the Gore-Tex Pro ePE material, which was introduced in the Fall/Winter 2025 collection. This sustainable garment uses no harmful chemicals and offers the same waterproofness and breathability as traditional Gore-Tex. The greatest feature of Gore-Tex Pro is its durability, having passed rigorous wear tests to meet the demands of professionals, from athletes to mountain guides and avalanche forecasters

Yosuke Fujii experienced the performance of Mysogen throughout the season .

"Last spring, I stayed in Switzerland for two weeks and took part in five freeride competitions. In every competition, I hiked up to the drop point in just under an hour. After working up a sweat, I reached a windy area at an altitude of about 2,000 meters. It was difficult to regulate the temperature inside my clothing, but the high wind resistance and breathability of Gore-Tex allowed me to walk comfortably.

The large ventilation also gives you a wider range of temperature regulation. If I'm still worried about overheating, I'll store a compactly foldable jacket in my pack, fasten the bibs with the waist belt, and walk without the shoulder straps. I keep my beacon in the thigh pocket, which has a loop. It's a setup packed with features that meet the needs of any skier."

That's because the competition has taken into account the opinions of top athletes, including French steep skiing maestro Vivienne Bourchet, freeskiing legend Sean Pettit, and rising star Anon Roski

The collection incorporates cutting-edge features without hesitation, and is bold yet historically rich. The high-performance design combines alpinism and freeride, and the casual fit makes it a perfect set for ski resorts

Yosuke Fujii's impression of wearing the suit

Yosuke Fujii
is a skier who started skiing after entering Hokkaido University and competes in competitions around the world. He is also a web production engineer.

"Mythogen is thin, light, and flexible, yet just the right thickness, giving me a sense of security even in the European Alps. The fabric isn't stretchy, but thanks to the three-dimensional pattern, I didn't feel any tightness or restriction, even when jumping or doing switchbacks. The inverted U-shaped bench in the bib was very useful during the tight competition schedule. I wash it frequently to maintain the performance of the Gore-Tex fabric."
