The Rush Series, the pinnacle of the Freeride Series, has been updated with skillful cutting and stitching that incorporates the new Gore-Tex Pro material, which provides protection in harsh conditions, in accordance with BC specifications.
A sustainable piece that maintains high functionality
The Rush Series is a high-spec freeride model that brings out the rider's potential on any slope, from tree runs in rural areas to big mountains. Its functionality is driven by Gore-Tex, which boasts excellent waterproof and breathable properties.
Gore-Tex has traditionally used ePTFE (Expanded Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene), a type of fluorine compound, as its main material. However, in recent years, laws have been enacted in Europe and the United States to restrict the use of fluorine compounds, due to concerns that they may have adverse effects on the environment and human health.
That's why they developed ePE (Expanded Poly Ethylene), which will also be used in Gore-Tex Pro from the Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Because the membrane is thinner and lighter, it reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emitted during manufacturing. Furthermore, it retains the functionality of conventional Gore-Tex, so you can expect the same potential as before.
The Rush series has been updated this season using this new sustainable material and continuing its freeride-focused specifications.
"Both sets have excellent three-dimensional cutting, so they don't restrict your movement. For example, when hiking up switchbacks in deep snow, there's no feeling of tightness even when you make big movements, making it easy to climb. If the edge guards were too stiff, the silhouette of the pants would be ruined, but I like that the fabric is soft and stays beautiful at all times."

So says Taiyo Nakanishi, who has been wearing Rush for four years. For him, who works in the mountains of Hokkaido, the protection that Gore-Tex Pro offers (windproof, waterproof, abrasion-resistant, etc.) is an essential feature.
Kouga Hoshino, who joined the Arc'teryx family last season, is also one of those who has become addicted to Rush.

"I skied nearly 200 days last year, but I hardly experienced any damage to my body from pack friction or anything like that. And yet, the skis are light and flexible. They don't feel too rough and hug my body well. In addition to the three-dimensional pattern, the silhouette is natural, so I don't feel stressed even when jumping. The pockets are large, so I was able to put my skins in them and hike up sections where I had to climb back up."
There is one thing to be aware of when it comes to ePE: it is less oil-repellent. This means that it is more susceptible to sebum and other stains, and if used as is, its water-repellent and breathable properties will decrease. It is important to wash it frequently.
Arc'teryx has therefore opened service centers in five of its directly managed stores where customers can wash their clothes using the appropriate detergent and procedures. This after-sales service, based on the motto "What we can do for the environment is to make our products last longer," provides reassuring support to users.
Details designed for ease of movement
High-spec snowwear for extreme climbing and skiing. Featuring Gore-Tex Pro for excellent protection, including windproof, waterproof, and abrasion-resistant properties, it lets you focus on skiing in any terrain, from polar terrain to tight tree runs.
It has excellent breathability, allowing stuffiness to escape, and the ventilation helps prevent sweat from cooling down due to stuffiness. The three-dimensional pattern extends not only around the shoulders and knees but also to the hood, following the curves of the entire body to protect from wind and snow. The wide range of colors available is another reason why Rush is so popular.

Hoshino Kouga's wearing experience
I experienced the high performance of the Rush jacket when I went to shoot in the spring mountains at 2000m. Its lightweight, three-dimensional patterning made it easy to lift my legs, and I didn't get tired even on a five-hour hike. The excellent protection was incredibly reassuring when I had to wait five hours in bad weather. The hood is also excellently cut, fitting snugly to the face without obstructing the field of vision. You can feel the history of Ark in the details.

Taiyo Nakanishi's wearing experience
I skied about 60 days last season, and they haven't shown any signs of wear. The field is full of tree runs, so the highly abrasion-resistant fabric gives me a sense of security and provides excellent protection in Hokkaido's harsh weather. The Gore-Tex construction allows for good ventilation even in deep snow, and the ventilation is positioned and easy to operate. I'm excited to have a choice of colors, so I'm going with gray and purple this season.
