The "Mindbender Collection," which debuted in the 2020 season, underwent its first full model change in the 2026-2027 season. Let's explore the degree of evolution of the new skis from both a functional and tactile perspective
【FUNCTION】Everything has changed. The new generation Mindbender
A legendary machine undergoes a complete redesign. Dark matter technology and 20% weight reduction
The Mindbender freeride series, known for its high performance on all types of terrain, has undergone significant specification changes based on the concept of purpose-specific design
The collection consists of six models, ordered from widest waist to widest: 111, 101, 96, 90, 88, and 85. Each model has distinct characteristics tailored to its intended use, such as the 111 designed for tackling big mountains and the 101 for covering an entire mountain range
The biggest functional improvement is the incorporation of "Dark Matter" technology. This feature, which has been used in the "Disruption Collection" since the 2023 season, suppresses unpleasant vibrations transmitted to the skis. It keeps the skis in constant contact with the snow surface, maintaining high control even at high speeds

features four vibration-absorbing materials (black sections) positioned along the edge of the ski's topsheet. The placement varies slightly depending on the model and size. The damping polymer material suppresses vibrations, preventing unpleasant sensations.
While the core material uses the conventional "Titernal I-beam," it's interesting that the amount of titanal used has been deliberately reduced by 20% to improve the continuity of force transfer. This allows for a light and responsive feel while maintaining strength
This marks the birth of a new generation of "Mindbender" that combines power and precise operability
*Models 90 and 85 do not feature "Dark Matter" or "Titernal"
Mindbender 111 | Deep Snow, Backcountry, Freestyle
The 111mm width provides buoyancy in deep snow, while dark matter suppresses vibrations. It remains stable even at high speeds, allowing you to confidently conquer rough slopes

Mindbender 101 | A versatile machine for freeriding
From hardpack to powder, its superior snow surface adhesion and control allow you to trace the terrain with ease

Mindbender 96 | All-around for the entire mountain
It combines the sharpness of groomed snow with the ability to traverse fresh snow at a high level. The Titanal I-beam delivers powerful grip on all snow conditions

Mindbender 88 | A nimble turning machine
Designed for optimal maneuverability on groomed slopes, its quick transitions provide exceptional stability on icy and mogul terrain

[REVIEW] Masanori Fujii's impressions of the evolution of the Mindbender 111
Excellent balance and lightness of movement that exceeds the numerical specifications
The all-new Mindbender 111 has more stiffness in the tip and tail than previous series, but feels slightly softer underfoot, resulting in a more ideal balance. This change makes it easier to adjust the turn radius, and it's easier to maneuver than the numerical R value suggests. The balance between the ski's flex and rebound is exquisite, making short turns and slides at low speeds easy to control
On the other hand, high-speed carving turns are exhilarating, and even on rough slopes, the vibration absorption seems to be effective, resulting in a stable and smooth ride without any chatter. The long nose rocker provides excellent buoyancy in deep snow, and also speeds up the initiation of turns. In addition to being lighter than previous models, the binding mounting position is closer to the center, resulting in a lighter swing weight and improved maneuverability, allowing for freestyle movements with ease
The Mindbender 111 is a board that elevates buoyancy, stability, and maneuverability to a "better balance." From those who want to master turns to those who want to freely ride the entire mountain, its high level of perfection allows you to enjoy any situation
