Limited Edition MINDBENDER
in collaboration with Sean Pettit
The Mindbender 108 Ti and Mindbender 130 Burst were released on February 17, 2021, right in the middle of the season. These limited edition MINDBENDER models were developed in collaboration with Sean Pettit, a long-time K2 ski team rider. The inspiration behind their creation was as follows:
"When we launched the Mindbender collection three years ago, we set a goal: to communicate our vision of freeriding through a diverse product range. We knew that there is more than one thing called 'freeride'; it means different things to skiers in Vermont, Whistler, Chamonix, and Niseko. To do this, we knew we needed to go further and elevate the sport of skiing and the gear made for it.
We talked it through and decided that the way to do this was to add a little bit of traditional flavor, so we hired longtime K2 team rider Sean Pettit. Collaborating with Sean brought this project to life and this limited edition collection became a reality."
"We looked to the iconic K2 freeride ski, the Merlin 7, circa 1998, and wanted to push it further while staying true to our roots. The result is something we're incredibly proud of."

Mindbender 108Ti technology provides outstanding performance on everything from packed snow to powder.
The Mindbender's signature high gliding performance is brought out by its Titanal Y-Beam and Powerwall technologies.
Titanal Y-Beam is a titanium arrangement that resembles the letter Y, as seen in the silver part of the photo below. By adjusting the titanium sheet in each area—along the edge of the ski's top, across the entire width of the ski underfoot, and tapered at the tail—power transmission and control are improved, resulting in outstanding stability.
In addition, the Powerwall features an ABS sidewall (red part in the photo below) built into the wood core in the center of the ski, which ensures direct and accurate power transmission to the edge
It offers high maneuverability and freedom in powder, and exceptional sharpness on hard runs. This ski has great potential for both on-piste and off-piste skiing
