Recommended for powder skiing. Provides ample buoyancy and decent grip
Generally, if you want to enjoy powder mainly, you can't go wrong with a model in this class. Waist widths in the 110mm range provide ample buoyancy in powder and are relatively easy to handle. You can attack aggressively or enjoy leisurely cruising.
Most models use top and tail rocker and have camber underfoot, so you can ski stress-free not only on powder but also on soft snow.
Depending on the model, some have a reinforced center section to improve grip on hard slopes. You can't make quick turns, but you can make dynamic turns on wide slopes while feeling the resistance from under your feet.
