Generally, those who want to enjoy powder skiing can't go wrong with a model in this class. The waist width of around 110mm provides more than enough buoyancy in powder, and it's relatively easy to handle. You can ski aggressively or enjoy leisurely cruising.
Most models feature tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot, so you can ski without stress not only in powder but also in soft snow conditions.
Depending on the model, some have a reinforced center section to improve grip on hard slopes. Quick changes of direction are not possible, but you can make dynamic turns on wide slopes while feeling the resistance underfoot.
