In addition to being equipped with a variety of cutting-edge technologies, GIRO goggles and helmets are attractive for their ease of use and cool design. We spoke to GIRO about their products at JSP SNOW EXPO JAPAN 2024 (held February 13-14, 2024 at Pacifico Yokohama)
The quality of the "VIVID lens" and stylish design will shine in the 2024-2025 season as well

For the 2024-2025 season, GIRO unveiled a solid lineup that showcases the excellent performance and stylish design that only they can offer
A distinctive feature and strength of GIRO goggles is the "VIVID Lens," developed in collaboration with ZEISS, a world authority in the optical field. VIVID's unique feature is that it allows only blue light, which enhances contrast, to enter the lens, blocking harmful UV rays, resulting in extremely accurate vision. This VIVID lens makes it extremely easy to see unevenness in the snow surface. When you ski with a lens that allows for clear vision, your body reacts better, fatigue is reduced, and you feel more relaxed
"Comp" - the highest-end model that brings together GIRO's goggle technology!

The "Comp" is the flagship model in GIRO's goggle lineup for the 2024-2025 season.
It's a product packed with GIRO's unique technologies, and is a product of pride. The cutting-edge "EXV+" (EXPANTION VIEW TECHNOLOGY) technology is designed using specialized equipment to replicate the view through goggles, expanding the field of view to a wider range. It achieves a wide field of view on a level equivalent to that seen with the naked eye. The lens, of course, is GIRO's signature VIVID toric double lens.
The "Comp" is equipped with the "SNAPSHOT Magnetic Lens Change System," which allows the lenses to be removed from the frame with a single push and instantly replaced using a magnet without touching the lenses directly. It comes with two VIVID Infrared lenses, one for sunny days and one for cloudy days, so if you carry a spare lens with you, you can instantly change lenses to suit any weather.
It's very easy to use, allowing you to enjoy clear vision and comfortable skiing all day long. The "Comp" debuts in a high-end package that not only includes spare lenses, but also a dedicated goggle case.

A rich women's collection

GIRO's goggles have a particularly extensive lineup for women.
The "Contour RS" is a model that retains the lenses and functionality of the hugely popular "Contour" while being tailored to fit the size of a woman's face and head. Other models include the "Ella" and "Article II," which feature an EXV frameless design and VIVID lenses. They are available in a wide variety of straps featuring stylish graphics and colors that women love. Another attractive feature is the soft, comfortable face foam, which makes them gentle and comfortable to wear.
Ultra-lightweight helmet "Taggert Mips" debuts!

A new ultra-lightweight helmet called "Taggert" will be released for the 2024-2025 season. While most helmets weigh around 500g, the Taggert weighs just 410g. Not only is it ultra-lightweight, but it also comes equipped with Mips, ensuring safety and reliability. Mips is a well-known impact dispersion system that keeps the brain safe by displacing the Mips plate inside the helmet when the head is impacted

As you can see, there are no holes for ventilation at the head, but a large structure inside the helmet and a large ventilation function at the back of the head allow air to be expelled to the outside
Despite its simple design, it offers excellent breathability and comfort. It's ultra-lightweight and equipped with Mips technology, making it comfortable to wear. At just 28,000 yen (excluding tax), it's also very cost-effective
