Naoyuki Kato is a mountain guide and snowboard guide who enjoys traveling around the world and sharing his excitement with people through guiding.

As a personal guide, he guides mountains all over Japan throughout the year, and in the winter he is the director and head guide of TENGU CAT-SKI GUIDES in Hokkaido and Kita Daisetsu. He ski guides in Alaska, Canada, and the European Alps, as well as nationally in the spring. Fascinated by the mountains through snowboarding during college, he enrolled at the University of Alaska Fairbanks after graduating.While enjoying the wilderness life while attending school, he built a unique mountaineering style of climbing and descending glaciers using a splitboard. . He has carved his footsteps in difficult mountains such as Denali (6,194m) in Alaska, and after returning to Japan, he has devoted himself mainly to Himalayan 6,000-8,000m peaks.
