Skiing on 100% original courses at Hokkaido's Sekisho Highlands BC | Backcountry Guide Yukinoko

The thoughts behind "Yukinoko "

Having traveled the world's snow-covered mountains, they were once again captivated by the snow of Hokkaido's Sekisho Plateau. Canada, Europe, Alaska—they've skied on a variety of snow-covered mountains, and it's only after experiencing so many different places that they truly appreciate the magnificence of the snow here. And because the tracks disappear once the snow falls, there are irreplaceable moments that are deeply etched in their hearts

We want to share those moments with everyone who visits. We want them to leave their own memorable tracks in the beautiful snow-covered mountains of Hokkaido. Yukinoko delivers such a snowy mountain journey to everyone whose heart is filled with excitement by snow

Ishikatsu Highlands BC: Aiming for untracked trails in a field they have developed themselves

Hokkaido's powder snow captivates skiers from all over the world. Due to its popularity, it's becoming increasingly difficult to find untouched slopes in easily accessible areas. In this context, "Yukinoko" will guide you to an original field in the Sekisho Plateau that the guide himself has been developing since 2001

Utilize "Sled Access," which allows you to travel on flat sections by snowmobile, to reach secret spots where you're less likely to encounter other users. The system will select the best slope from approximately 15 courses, tailored to the snow and conditions of the day

Threaded access allows for efficient approach to the skiing area

Sled access involves being towed by a snowmobile over a flat section of the course. The distance varies depending on the course, but it's approximately 3-5 km. It feels similar to a T-bar lift as you travel towards the skiing area. The appeal lies in being able to conserve energy while heading towards untouched slopes

100% original course! Choose the best slope of the day!

Since 2001, the guides have developed approximately 15 original courses. They utilize their accumulated field knowledge to select the best route based on the snow and mountain conditions of the day. This is a welcome sight for skiers and snowboarders who want to avoid crowds and enjoy powder snow on a quiet mountain

A double-guide system that covers everything from safety to skiing support

The tour uses a double-guide system, with two guides accompanying you. In addition to safety considerations, you will receive detailed support tailored to the situation, such as instructions on the skiing line, assistance with problems during skiing, and support for breaking trail through deep snow during hikes. This system, which allows you to concentrate on enjoying the field, is one of the characteristics of "Yukinoko"
