Enjoy the unique nature and powder snow of Zao to your heart's content
ZAOC has been planning and running outdoor activities mainly in Zao, Miyagi since 2013. They offer the splendor of Miyagi's nature, especially Zao, and the fun of playing there throughout the four seasons.
In winter, they offer a wide range of backcountry tours where you can enjoy the beautiful and fantastical natural scenery unique to Zao, as well as untouched powder snow.

Backcountry lessons for beginners
ZAOC offers tours for all levels, from backcountry beginners to experienced skiers. Beginners can choose from a "starter pack." After an explanation of the equipment and a lesson on how to use it, you'll then enjoy a leisurely 15-30 minute hike up the slopes before skiing in the backcountry. Lunch is served in the mountains, allowing you to fully enjoy nature. Free rental of K2 fat skis is also available for those who wish!

Choose from Level 1 to 3 by level and location
Experienced skiers can choose from "Level 1" to "Level 3," and the tour content and location can be tailored to their level. Incidentally, "Level 1" is available from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM for groups of three or more, and includes three locations: "Eboshi," "Minowa," and "Omoshiroyama." The hikes are all easy, lasting just one to two hours, making them easy to participate in. Each tour offers attractive opportunities to enjoy the unique features of the slopes.
"Level 2" is for advanced skiers. It goes deeper into the mountains, making the hike more challenging, lasting two to three hours, but the elevation difference is also greater. There are three locations: "Eboshi," "Kitou," and "Fubozan."
"Level 3" is a hike of about three hours. The terrain, snow quality, and spectacular views make it well worth the effort, and high-quality backcountry fields await. Tours are available, including "Miyagi Prefecture's highest peak, Byobudake Tour," "Zao's Okama Kama Tour," and "Zao's core, Maruyamazawa Tour." For more details, please see the ZAOC website
