The ski resorts in this area do have snow, but it's unstable enough that artificial snow machines are always on hand. As a result, skiing on harder slopes such as moguls, snow parks, and technical selections is very popular
Takasu Snow Park & Dynaland, which represents this area, has been expanding its tree run area in recent years. With the amount of snow this year, this tree run area has apparently become a powder paradise.
Local skiers Kosuke Kusakari, Masato Takeshita Yoshiharu, and Yuki Kuwahara skied down the slopes to see what it was like.

Takasu and Dynaland are both located at the foot of Mount Dainichi-ga-take and are connected midway up the ski resort. The size of the mountain and the variety of slopes give the two resorts great potential, with a combined seven tree run areas. On days with heavy snowfall, the resorts are so popular that even regular snow park and slope enthusiasts flock to the ungroomed snow and tree run areas. Powder snow is rare, so competition is fierce and it disappears in a flash. And the quality of the snow is superb
Takasu & Dynaland is the largest ski resort in western Japan, with the summit of the slopes reaching an altitude of 1,550mKusakari is the first to arrive at Takasu's tree run area, "Tochi."
On this day, the snow was soft and bouncy, with just the right amount of moisture, reaching up to the knees. It was a little different from the powdery snow in Hokkaido and other places, and you could enjoy the bounce of the snow when you stepped on it.

"Today is amazing!" they all said in unisonThe powder in the ungroomed areas disappeared quickly, but the sides of the course remained untracked until around noonThe tree has many ups and downs, so there's plenty of freeriding potential, and skiers who have honed their skills in the park will have a blastThe grass cutters slide down, kicking up a huge cloud of snowHalfway up Takasu, you'll find the popular local shop "TOCORO COFFEE," a perfect place to take a break. This cafe spot nestled in the snowy fields is said to be popular among young people as a stylish spotDynaland's "Challenge Tree Run Area" is characterized by its steep slopes, which even Kuwabara, who also competes in the FWQ, is pleased withThe bottom of the Challenge Tree Run area is like a stream, so you can also enjoy playing on the wallDynaland's Umanose Tree Run area can be reached by hiking up for 2-3 minutes. Part of the area is on the north slope, and no-track powder was preserved until the afternoon
