YAMABOKU Wild Snow Park

Exclusive private area with ungroomed snow for a limited number of people! Plenty of powder too

YAMABOKU Wild Snow Park is located in a corner of Shiga Kogen UNESCO Ecopark, on the southern slope of Mt. Kasagatake, which is 2,076 meters above sea level. The slopes are quite high, at 1,500 to 1,700 meters above sea level, so they are covered in light, natural powder snow, and 70% of the slopes are ungroomed, making it an amazing powder paradise

It has long been enthusiastically supported by snowboarders and has a strong image of being a snowboarding spot, but in fact it also has a variety of courses that will inspire skiers to take on the challenge, such as the Lucky Tyrol and Pepi Innsbruck courses, with steep slopes of up to 38 degrees, tough slopes where you slide down snow cornices created by snowstorms, advanced courses that slide down tight forest trails, and technical courses where you ski while conquering changing terrain. 2nd STAGE

The "2nd Stage" is a program that opens up Yamaboku's special, completely ungroomed private area, the 2nd Stage, located behind the ridge of the 1st Stage (Yamada Ranch's main slope), on limited days and by reservation only, for a limited number of 30 people

You approach the slope via the 2nd and 3rd pair lifts of the 1st stage, and after skiing down you are transported by snowmobile to the middle of the 1st stage panoramic course. Before skiing down, you receive an orientation from a guide on important points to note and course information, and then you can ski freely until the end time, with free drinks provided. With a guide accompanying you, you can enjoy skiing safely and securely, and although it is off-piste, backcountry equipment (beacons, shovels, probes) is not required, making it a convenient experience
