It is expected to be even more lively this spring. It is scheduled to be open from Tuesday, April 15th to Sunday, November 30th. Many backcountry guide club tours are also open to the public. INDEX

What is Mt. Tateyama like in spring?

Tateyama in the Northern Alps is a chain of 3,000m-class mountains. The overwhelming heavy snowfall and majestic terrain create endless lines, and the exhilaration of skiing from a 3,000m-class peak captivates any skier. Because you can ski earlier and later than anywhere else in Japan, it is said that skiers' year begins and ends at Tateyama

The season has arrived when backcountry ski enthusiasts from all over the country gather at Mt. Tateyama!
The "WEB tickets" for approaching Mt. Tateyama are already sold out from the Toyama side in April. From the Nagano side, there are only a few seats left at the end of April, making it such a popular option. WEB tickets for May 1st and beyond will go on sale from April 1st, so if you're interested, don't miss out.

◆2025 Spring Tateyama Backcountry Guide | Rhythm Works

Tateyama in the Northern Alps is a heavy snow region with a series of 3,000-meter-high mountains. Skiers say that you can start and end your time at Tateyama because you can ski earlier and later than anywhere else. In the fall, when the season starts, take it slow. In the spring, cross the ridge and take on long routes around Kurobe Dam and cirque terrain. Feel the snow and welcome the start of the season together at Tateyama, enjoying the remaining granular snow until the season arrives. This plan includes an overnight stay at the comfortable hot spring inn, Raichoso.
