Club Med Kiroro Peak | Enjoy the finest snow and resorts of Hokkaido inclusive

Hokkaido Kiroro Snow World offers one of Japan's leading powder snow. Located at the foot of the building, Club Med Kiroro Peak is an all-inclusive resort that is widely supported by skiers and snowboarders, as well as beginners and travelers who aim to enjoy the resort.

Normally, these resorts are usually enjoyed for a week or long period of time, but this time Nakamura from the editorial department stays over the weekend. We've seen how to enjoy Club Med Kiroro Peak.

What is Club Med Kiroro Peak?

Club Med Kiroro Peak, which opened in December 2022, is an all-inclusive resort that includes accommodation fees, lift tickets, ski/snowboard lessons, meals, drinks, activities, and more. (Some additional fees apply). Accommodation is limited to those over 12 years old, and is what is called an "adult resort."

Club Med Kiroro Peak is about 90 minutes' drive from New Chitose Airport. Located in Akaigawa Village, near Otaru, it is about a 60-minute drive from Sapporo city. It is easily accessible from famous Hokkaido cities, about 40 minutes from Otaru.

There are 126 guest rooms, with three main types of guest rooms. Superior is perfect for couples and small travelers. "Deluxe" features a living room where families can relax. It has a bedroom for children, making it the largest "sweet" with the largest area.

The slopes were seen from the room.

In November 2024, the resort evolved into an even more luxurious and sophisticated resort, as the first "exclusive collection" at a mountain resort in Asia.

In addition to the regular all-inclusive service, this "Exclusive Collection" offers even more comprehensive services. You can receive high-grade services such as the fast-speed "Premium WI-FI" and the "Champagne Free Flow", where champagne is served after 6pm.

Kiroro Snow World Recommended Courses

The appeal of Kiroro Snow World is its abundant snowfall. When it is often blessed with snow over 5m, and during the high season, snow falls every night, and the course situation is reset, Kiroro Snow World captivates skiers not only in Japan but also around the world.

From the top of the two mountains with an altitude of over 1,000m, there are many courses with rich terrain changes, and the vast slopes are 4,050m in total, with a maximum sliding distance of 23 courses, allowing you to enjoy both compacted and non-compressed snow.

Additionally, although they had not yet opened when they were interviewed in December, there are five tree run areas within the ski resort management area.

The vast tree run area in 4 areas can be entered through the dedicated entrance. There are many variations, including beautiful tree orchid forests, varied natural terrain, powder, and adventurous courses. There are many courses that can be used to run the course over and over using a lift, making it an irresistible experience for advanced players.

This time, I will introduce three courses that were impressive from my skiing days.

1. Asari Dynamic

A course that runs parallel to the gondola from the top of Asariyama. The maximum slope is 23.9 degrees and the average slope is 12.5 degrees, but the course is gentle, but it is a fun course to imagine how it will slip, with a wide variety of courses, including solid snow and powder next to the course.

2. Asari No. 2-A

A long course with pressurized snow that slides down from the top of Asariyama. After approaching with just a Kirologundra from the bottom, you can ride the Asari 2nd Express and ski efficiently. The next-day Asari Course 2B is an advanced course for non-pressurized snow, so we recommend switching over to enjoy it.

3. Yoichi No. 1-A

You can access it by boarding Yoichi No. 1 Express from the foot of the mountain. There is a wall on the right side, and there are various ways to play depending on how you try it. Since the wall is on a flat slope, it is recommended that you pay attention to speed when approaching.

As mentioned above, there were a total of 23 courses, and there were many courses, so I couldn't get through everything properly by just staying alone. The course changes depending on the snow quality and weather that day, so you can enjoy it even more if you can slid in a variety of conditions and spot the differences.

However, the conditions at the time of interview were in good condition, with snow falling continuously. I enjoyed the joy of enjoying powder no matter where I skated, and while almost forgetting that it was an interview, I was able to enjoy it.

Is the real thing after the skiing? Club Med Kiroro Enjoy the Peak

Once you've finished skiing, head to the locker room exclusively for guests.

Each room is available for direct access from the slopes, and the lockers for the superior room are large enough to fit four for skis and two for snowboarding. There is also a rack where you can hang boots and helmets, so storage is not a problem.

There is also a bench in the locker room, so you can sit and loosen your boots.

The lockers work with the room key, providing security. The locker room is always warm and functions as a drying room, so you don't have to worry about the gear getting wet.

A bracelet to wear when checking in. This is a convenient item that can be used as a key to a guest room or locker, or for payment when shopping.

After skiing at the bar

Once the tidying up is settled, head to "THE VIEW BAR" in the main bar.

"THE VIEW BAR" is very open with large windows that allow you to view the Yoichi slopes and family slopes. There is a sofa near the window that allows you to view the slopes. There are also warm lighting, making it a comfortable, relaxing space for after-skiing.

Drinks include alcohol such as beer and whiskey, as well as soft drinks, and these drinks are all inclusive, so you can enjoy them whenever you are there. Depending on the time, snacks such as sweets and sandwiches will also be served, so you can enjoy it with beer or champagne.

Incidentally, the bar counter staff communicated in English, but even I, who can't speak English, could have ordered beer so I hope they don't have any worries.

There is also a fireplace-like lighting, making the space flowing casually.
To celebrate my order, beer is a "Sapporo Classic"

A buffet-style restaurant with international cuisine

After enjoying beer and snacks, we headed to the main restaurant "OTARU." For dinner, you can enjoy a buffet with a wide range of genres, including Japanese, Chinese and Western cuisine. On the menu, there are "live kitchen" dishes cooked right in front of you, making it a great place to eat freshly prepared dishes. What I particularly liked was the numerous seafood dishes made with fresh Hokkaido seafood. I also like salmon, tuna, chirashi sushi, etc., but with the mindset of Hokkaido, I have been given tuna many times.

There are plenty of dessert sweets, so you're sure to be satisfied. All of the foods during my stay were delicious, so this is the only thing I've gained.

Entertainment that you can enjoy after meals

Club Med Kiroro Peak offers a variety of entertainment every day.

When I stayed, DJ equipment and lighting were installed on the stage right in front of the bar, and the bar was lit up and changed to a club-style style with shot glasses lined up.

It's not just the dedicated DJs or guests who get on stage, but the GOs. During the day, they work as hotel staff, such as hotel front desk and instructors, but in entertainment situations, they make use of the individuality of each GO to liven up the atmosphere. It's unique that you can communicate with the GOs in a different way than in the daytime.

You can also have fun with the customers around you. You can also drink a drink while watching the excitement, or enjoy it to the point of relaxing in your room. I felt like I had learned how to enjoy it as a resort, not just a skiing trip.

This is the story of my experience, but there are other gyms, large baths, and yoga rooms at Club Med Kiroro Peak. In addition, facilities such as natural hot springs and indoor pools at the adjacent Kiroro Grand are available, all of which are all inclusive. Also, Otaru is a popular tourist spot nearby, so it would be fun to set a "non-slip day" during your stay to enjoy sightseeing and resort.

It would be nice to go and buy a popular music box as a souvenir

With a range of fun things to do throughout the day, including skiing, dining, facilities and entertainment, Club Med Kiroro Peak is the perfect place to combine skiing and resorts. The best powder, comfortable hotel will provide you with a memorable experience.
