Spring season is full of park items.
The weather is becoming more stable, with clear skies increasing rapidly, and the snow has loosened enough to make landing easier. Early spring is the perfect condition for park rides. In the 2023-24 season, many parks closed early due to light snowfall, but the snowfall in March means there will be plenty of snow even into April.
Let's introduce a spring park with plenty of items and good conditions that you can still enjoy.

Nakayama Pass Ski Resort | Fun Park
Sapporo's convenience park is open from early to late than anywhere else.
Nakayama Pass is only 60 minutes from downtown Sapporo.
Although it is in a good location with direct access from the national highway, the snow falls very quickly due to its location at an altitude of 830 meters, and it is one of the earliest ski resorts in Hokkaido, opening in early November with natural snow and closing late. It's famous and popular. Although it is a very compact ski resort with one lift and two courses, it has many fans, including Hokkaido residents, and has a reputation for having a well-stocked park, especially during the spring ski season.
The spring ski season, which started on April 1, 2024, will run until May 6.
The rumored "Fun Park" will start operating from April 6th. As shown in the photo above, items such as kickers, spines, boxes, and rails of different sizes are also kept in check. Particularly popular are long, well-shaped continuous waves. With Wave, you can enjoy it even if it's your first time at the park or if you're a beginner skier. What's more, the spectacular view of Mt. Yotei from Nakayama Pass is worth seeing. It would be a great place to take a day trip from the Sapporo area for a hike in Haruyama, or to stop by on your way to Niseko in a rental car.

Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain |Step Up Park North
A new snow park paradise is born where you can enjoy a variety of activities for five months depending on the season.
Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain is a snow resort that attracted attention when it was reborn as a big slope with 33 courses and 13 lifts in the 2023-24 season by combining the former Alts Bandai and Nekoma Ski Resorts. Originally, the two ski resorts were linked, and the snow park was moved to the best location at the right time throughout the season, but even with Nekoma His Mountain, the wonderful park environment remains the same.
There are 7 types of parks installed. The main "Step Up Park" is located in both the north and south areas, but only the north area "Step Up Park North" is open in spring. The slopestyle park located on the Devil 3 course can be enjoyed for about 5 months from opening until spring. Being able to rotate the lift efficiently with the Devil Cat Chair and being able to see a panoramic view of the park from the lift is another fun experience. At the time of opening, the slopestyle slopes start from beginner to fun and gradually increase in size, and during the high season, slopestyle slopes range from 5m to 10m and are suitable for intermediate to advanced levels.
In the north area, Forest Mini Park is a limited-time park for beginners, located at the bottom of the slope. It's a mini-park that is easy to enter even if it's your first time at the park, but it may close early depending on the melting snow.
Another must-see for spring is the Spring Banked Park. This is an area where you can play banked slalom and natural terrain, and it is a fun park where you can play repeatedly regardless of your gear, such as skiing, snowboarding, snow skating, scooting, etc. In addition, in the south area when there is sufficient snow, there will be a 1,800m terrain play park called ``Flowing Park'' and ``Night Park,'' as well as ``Global Park,'' where a gigantic 17m kicker will be built to match the world championship level.

Kagura Ski Resort | Kagura Park, Mitsumata Ups 'n' Downs, Mitsumata Area51sPark, Tashiro Beginners Park
“Faster than anywhere, late than anywhere”
Four parks that support long runs of 6 months or more
Kagura is famous for its powder area, but its strengths as one of Japan's heaviest snowfall areas are also demonstrated in its park management.
Starting with Kagura Park, which opens in late November, closes temporarily in late December, and reopens from early April to late May, the concept is "earlier than anywhere else, late than anywhere else." It has four parks with multiple functions and is operated for as long as six months. Since you can ski for half a year, the physical strength required at Kagura Snow Park is unparalleled. From late December to mid-April, the main stage will be Mitsumata Area 51s Park, which is filled with jumps and jib items, making it a great place to ski and improve your skills. ``Tashiro Beginners Park,'' which is for beginners, can be enjoyed until early April, and ``Mitsumata Ups'n'Downs,'' a slope style course that takes advantage of the natural topography, can be enjoyed until early May.
Whenever you go skiing during the season, you can choose the best park according to your level and taste. The charm of Kagura is that you can enjoy the whole free ride with a high probability of enjoying the powder at the right time.

Snow Wave Park Shiratori Kogen | FREE RIDE JIB PARKS
park environment in Okumino where the conditions are always stable
Snow Wave Park Shiratori Kogen opens early in late November every year, even though it's about an hour and a half drive from Nagoya. They use snow machines to keep big kickers in stable conditions. Surprisingly, this area gets a lot of snow, and you can sometimes taste the powder in March.
In order to enjoy the abundant snow and unique topography to the fullest, skiing regulations are kept to a minimum to create an environment where you can ski freely on any slope. The uniqueness of the snow park, where you can slide as much as you like, and jump as much as you like, and the entire area is natural, is also appealing. The company has a history of operating snow parks since the 1990s, and its sophisticated park management techniques have been passed down through generations of diggers. Each item has a high degree of perfection. The big kicker is also famous as Hajime Okumino. There are lines on both sides of the quad that extend from the base that allow you to hit kickers of all sizes.
