Tomamu is located in the Hokkaido Powder Belt which has one of the highest levels of dry powder in Japan What is it like to stay at Hoshino Resorts in winter, where you want to experience smooth powder snow? If you're in Hokkaido, you'll want to enjoy some delicious gourmet food. A 3-day, 2-night "adult ski trip" filled with girls' dreams.
This time, three ski girls Yui Ohno, Mina Itaba, and Yuri Asakawa, who are based in Hakuba, Minamiuonuma, and Myoko, visited Tomamu, Hokkaido. A large amount of the trip was taken with their smartphones. (Over 600 photos!) Let's take a look back at the places and events that left a lasting impression on these girls.
Must-see!! Spectacular spots Recommended spots in Tomamu
When it comes to girls' trips, you want to take photos that will stand out as memories of your trip.
Tomamu is dotted with scenic photo spots on the ski slopes. It's fun to skate around this spot. Let me introduce you to the places I visited.
① Rime Ice Terrace/Cloud Walk

First up is the " Rime Ice Terrace ". Located at the top of Tomamu Mountain, you can see the snow-white trees covered in ice and the majestic Hidaka Mountains. You can take pictures with Tomamu The Tower and the gondola, so this is a must for "Tomamu-esque" photos.
"Cloud Walk" is a suspension bridge that anyone can walk from the Hoarfrost Terrace.
The unique cloud-shaped observation deck that juts out from the slope is one of the scenic spots that even non-skiers visit.

②Ice Village

A fantastic " Ice Village " only available on winter nights. Here you will find a city made of ice, including an ice church and an ice hotel. Each facility is illuminated by lights and the sparkling ice is beautiful.

Alcoholic drinks are served in ice glasses at ice bars, and ice ramen is served in ice bowls at ice ramen shops. You can also try activities such as ice skating.
I admire you! The full range of hotel services provided by RISONARE Tomamu

Hoshino Resorts operates and develops accommodation facilities in various formats throughout the country.
While there are some facilities that you'll want to stay at at least once, Hoshino Resorts Tomamu offers services that are sure to please skiers, and is also perfect for a girls' trip.
The hotel I stayed at this time Risonare Tomamu , which is housed in two skyscraper-like buildings with all rooms over 100 square meters in size and all suites with panoramic jet baths and private saunas.
Warm up your cold body and recharge your power. The suite is the perfect size for ski trips where you tend to carry a lot of luggage, and is spacious enough to prepare for the next day or have a girls' night out all night, making it recommended for luxurious adult women.

Long live the gluttonous girls!! Gourmet Tomamu
Cafe/restaurant where you can easily ski in and out

I visited Cafe & Bar Tsukino on Hotaru Street for lunch. Here, you'll find a wide variety of gourmet foods unique to Tomamu, such as hearty hamburgers, milk soft drinks made with Tomamu milk that have a refreshing aftertaste, and cafe lattes.
*Menu varies depending on the season.

Including Hotaru Street, Hoshino Resorts Tomamu has over 20 restaurants and cafes.
The buffet restaurant, which is open for breakfast and dinner, fills your stomach with a wide variety of dishes that you won't be able to finish all at once.

The latte art is cute ♡"

, but be careful not to eat too much..."
The best part of the trip! Enjoy a luxurious full course of Italian cuisine

OTTO SETTE TOMAMU is perfect for a luxurious adult women's trip .
Dress up a little and go out to this restaurant for dinner.
Here, a full course of exquisite Italian cuisine is served using seasonal ingredients.
From the appetizers, it's so gorgeous that you'll want to take pictures from every angle, saying, "It's too stylish to eat!"
Pairing with natural wines will bring out a variety of dishes. ``That wine was delicious, so let's have another glass.'' Enjoying a satisfying dinner is a luxurious way to spend time that only adults can enjoy.

Of course, I skied!! I was very satisfied with the variety of courses.

Since it was everyone's first time at Tomamu, we started by cruising around a variety of courses.
Speaking of Tomamu, there are two colorful towers towering over the ski slopes called Tomamu The Tower. I tried many times with the sole intention of taking a picture of sliding towards the tower. The gentle slope makes it easy to slide while enjoying the scenery.

If you're a skier, you'll want to try the ` `Advanced-only area .'' If you follow the prescribed procedures, you can enjoy a full-fledged tree run even within the ski resort, and many skiers and snowboarders take up the challenge every season. This is an initiative unique to Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, which creates ski slopes that take advantage of the natural environment.
Even if you push, attack, and fall, the high-quality powder snow will protect you. I can't believe how much fun it is to skate with friends.

If you want to go even harder, Tomamu Slopestyle Park . I only have a board for powder, but I decided to give it a try and did one make-up. I got excited as I got to see my friends' skills, which I didn't usually get to see, up close.

Your daily actions are too good!? End your trip with “Mt. Karifuri CAT Tour”

On this final day of our Tomamu trip, we jumped off the slopes and headed into the backcountry in search of better snow. I participated in
Mt. Karifuri CAT Tour held by Hoshino Resorts Tomamu at Mt. Karifuri As if we were celebrating the end of our trip, we were blessed with "THE DAY" weather, and everyone was in high spirits on this day!

After getting off the CAT, walk to the downhill point. Although our feet were covered in soft snow, we continued in a line behind the guide.
When you arrive at the drop point, a wide no-track powder burn with big turns will spread out below you. For those with backcountry experience, the desire to ski quickly comes first, while for those who are new to the sport, they are filled with nervousness.
As everyone was getting ready, I advised them, ``It's dangerous to slide up to that tree, so please stop above it.'' You don't have to worry about it because you can draw the expected route in advance. All that's left is the courage to jump into the powder.

They jump out shouting “3, 2, 1, drop!” As the turns were carved, smooth dry powder flew up. “Oh my!” “Oh no!” screams of joy resounded. Such a luxurious time passes in an instant. Despite my desire to ski further, I quickly reached the stopping point.

After skiing a lot, we went to lunch that was included with the tour. A lone yurt appears in the forest. When you step inside, you'll find yourself in a retro yet stylish space decorated with an interior that looks like a mountain hut.

The lunch provided on the tour is a luxurious one-person hotpot filled with Hokkaido seafood such as shrimp and salmon. When I tasted the soup, which was packed with the delicious flavors of the ingredients, it warmed my body, which had become cold from slipping, to the core.
Three days of skating, staying, playing, and eating. The great thing about skiing trips is that even if it's your first trip, you get to know each other as soon as you ski.
Furthermore, the bond between them deepens, and they become motivated to go again! and ``I want to skate more!''
Hoshino Resorts Tomamu is a recommended destination for this winter, as it has attracted skiers with its excellent snow quality and excellent facilities and services.

I was surprised by the selection of products that even core skiers would be satisfied with!”

Yuri Asakawa
A girl who loves sliding and was born in the early 90s and lives in the heavy snowfall areas of Nagano and Niigata prefectures. Wherever there is a pleasant smell, go beyond the ocean, over the mountains, and wherever you are. As long as you have good drinks and like-minded friends, it doesn't matter if there's bad snow or no waves. (My recent problem is that a week goes by quickly.)
