Initiatives for a sustainable future for local communities

At Patagonia Hakuba, staff members enjoy not only skiing and snowboarding but also being out in the fields throughout the year, and they work together with local residents to think about the future of a sustainable local community that is connected to snow

"Skiing, of course, but the joy and value of experiencing the best moments using your own body and judgment in nature, which changes its appearance from time to time, is something that cannot be found anywhere else. We hope to share the feelings of those moments with our customers and help them prepare for them, and to increase the number of enthusiasts," is the message from Manager Hatano

the area around the slopes is suffering from a lack of snow, and skiers are taking action to protect the winter. While pursuing the ultimate "fun" myself, I want to think about the future of skiing together with people who love skiing and snowy mountains. By continuing to do what you love and interacting with people who love the same fields, you will love them even more. It would be great if I could help with that cycle.
