INDEX
What kind of ski resort is Furano (Hokkaido)?
A vast powder snow field consisting of two areas that gives you a sense of the grandeur of Hokkaido
Furano is a Hokkaido-representative resort complex, boasting magnificent views of the Tokachi and Daisetsuzan mountain ranges, as well as the scale of its slopes and the high level of its facilities. The two zones, Kitanomine and Furano, are connected at the top of the slopes, and offer a total of 28 courses with a wide variety that can be enjoyed by beginners to advanced skiers
The biggest appeal of Furano Ski Resort is that you can enjoy both ultra-dry powder, unique to its inland location, and beautifully groomed slopes. The views from the lifts are also superb, allowing you to immerse yourself in the magnificent nature of Hokkaido.
There are ungroomed courses in both zones, and staying at the New Furano Prince Hotel is convenient if you want to be among the first to enjoy the powder in the Furano zone.
