What is Jigatake Ski Resort (Nagano Prefecture) like?

Enjoy playing in the snow while feeling the warmth of nature and people.

Its appeal lies in its prime location, surrounded by the magnificent nature of the Northern Alps. It is close to the Azumino and Hakuba areas, and is easily accessible from Matsumoto and Nagano. Although the slopes are compact, at around 1,200m above sea level, the cold temperatures unique to the Northern Alps mean that the snow remains light and powder-like for long periods of time.

There is a lot of gentle terrain that is perfect for beginners to intermediate skiers, and there is also a beginners area equipped with a snow escalator, so it is safe and comfortable for kids' first skiing and beginners. There are also many other attractive play options, such as the "Snow Dog Run" where you can enjoy playing in the snow with your beloved dog, snowmobile tours, and bonfires.

The homey atmosphere loved by local residents and repeat visitors, and the warm service during events are unique to Jigatake. It is a ski resort where you can enjoy playing in the snow freely while feeling the great outdoors of Hakuba and the warmth of the people.
