What is Kamui Ski Links (Hokkaido) like?

A technical day-trip ski resort where advanced skiers gather to show off their skills

Kamui, the largest ski resort in the northern Hokkaido area, celebrated its 40th anniversary last season and opened new courses to commemorate the occasion, bringing its total to 26 courses. Its iconic feature is the yellow, box-shaped, four-seater gondola, which is now one of the few remaining. Due to its inland location, Kamui boasts incredibly light and fluffy powder snow that cannot be replicated in other areas. Ungroomed courses make up 35% of the resort, allowing powder lovers to enjoy this powder to their heart's content.

Most of the advanced courses are ungroomed, and these are long courses ranging from 800 to 1200 meters, with maximum slopes exceeding 30 degrees everywhere. The undulating courses are full of variety, with snowdrifts, bumps, and walls to hit, so even skiers with a keen eye for terrain will be very satisfied. There are also tree run courses at the top of the slopes, allowing you to enjoy tree runs through the beautiful forest.
