What is Meiho Ski Resort (Gifu Prefecture) like?
The spectacular view from an altitude of 1,600m and the long run of 5,000m are the attractions
Meiho Ski Resort is about 30 minutes by car from Gujo Hachiman IC on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, making it easily accessible from the Chukyo and Kansai areas. It boasts a spectacular view from the summit of a mountain at 1,600 meters above sea level, the highest in the Oku-Mino area, and the slopes have 13 courses, the longest of which, at 5,000 meters, is one of the longest in Western Japan. In addition to a beginner's slope equipped with a covered snow escalator, there is also a park with a variety of equipment, a kids' park with unlimited use of the moving belt, and a daycare center. Parking is also available (paid/3,500 spaces).
The planned opening date for the 2025-2026 season is Saturday, December 13th.
Starting this season, the resort has added a slope where you can ski with your dog on weekdays only, as well as an observation terrace that can be accessed without skiing equipment, making it even more enjoyable for non-skiers.

Weekday-only "Dog Slope" now available
In response to requests from users who want to "run down the snowy slopes together with their beloved family members," starting this season, skiers can now bring their dogs along the α350 course along the 3rd Quad Lift on weekdays only.
Non-skiers can now also take their pets on the No. 4 Quad Lift to the summit. Furthermore, merchandise such as snowshoes for dogs is now available for purchase, and pets are allowed on the deck terrace, making this a truly pet-friendly ski resort.

Free parking on weekdays!
Until now, parking fees were charged all day, but starting this season, parking is free on weekdays. If you avoid weekends and holidays when it tends to be crowded, you can save money and get in with plenty of time. Why not visit Meiho on a weekday this season?

Thick-Sliced Bacon Cheeseburger
This incredibly satisfying burger can be enjoyed at BASE CAFE on the first floor of the ski center. The 100% beef patty is grilled fresh in-store, so it's juicy and full of meat juice!

Meiho Onsen "Yuseikan"
This day-trip hot spring is located a 3-minute drive from Meiho Ski Resort. The alkaline, simple, weakly radioactive hot spring water is gentle on the body. There is also a restaurant called "Yuyu" on-site, so you can have a meal there before heading home.
