Recommended courses at Yuzawa Nakazato Snow Resort

・Ungroomed snow course and tree run area

Slope type:
On the mountain to the right of the Northwest Ski Resort, there are five ungroomed runs: the Dynamic Run, Giant Run, Challenge Run, Extreme Run, and Training Run. In between are numerous tree run areas. The trees have been thinned out at just the right intervals, making for easy skiing. There is also a wide variety of slopes, so you can choose a line depending on your preferences and the amount of snow.

・Challenge Burn

Maximum gradient: 32 degrees, average gradient: 25 degrees / Distance: 370m / Slope orientation: West

The snow is ungroomed, so you can enjoy some lucky powder riding the morning after it snows. Its prime location, right in front of Nakazato Ski Center, is also a popular spot. The slopes and forests have been maintained over three seasons, and the area is gaining even more attention as part of the "FWT ZONE," where you can try out wood rails and powder jumps

・Giant Course

Maximum gradient: 32 degrees, average gradient: 22 degrees / Distance: 580m / Slope orientation: Southwest

The Giant Course can be reached by simply taking the second lift from the base of the slope. This course also has ungroomed snow, so it's best to aim for it right after it snows. It's exhilarating to ski down the wide, straight, open run in one go

・Dynamic course

Maximum gradient: 32 degrees, average gradient: 17 degrees / Distance: 600m / Slope orientation: Southwest to West

The Dynamic Course has a layout that curves around to the right. As the slope faces west, it is in the shade for a long time, which helps maintain the quality of the snow, making it a popular course. You'll want to enjoy the changing slopes as you tackle the course, just like in the video

・Terrain park "Growth Park"

Slope facing: Southwest

Growth Park was produced by local Minamiuonuma-born professional snowboarder Kei Sekiguchi. This new section allows you to freely explore the terrain, including undulations and banks. It is designed for beginners to advanced riders, and the possibilities are endless, limited only by your imagination.
