Ten years after the closure of Hachimantai Ski Resort, the vast area has been redeveloped and revitalized as a backcountry area with thorough safety management. This is where HACHIMANTAI CAT TOURS was born, run by a group of local guides. With
powder snow renowned as the driest in Honshu, a wide variety of terrain, and beautiful natural scenery including frost-covered trees, CAT skiing allows you to fully enjoy the charm of Hachimantai in safety.

Cat tours are currently run by the following four guide companies in Hachimantai City (certified guides by the Japan Mountain Guides Association, Incorporated Association), who create their own schedules and offer their own programs.
