The owner is professional skier Masahiro Maruyama
on the slopes of Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort overlooking the Northern Alps, the property is in a fantastic location, with the Bell Ringing Hill slope right in front of you as soon as you step out the front door, and the Tsugaike Ropeway Sanroku Station just a five-minute walk away.
Tsugaike Grand Lodge is owned by professional skier Masahiro Maruyama. After 20 years of competitive skiing, from alpine skiing to moguls, he switched to the world of freeskiing. He has been shooting mainly in the HAKUBA Valley mountain area, and has also competed in freeride competitions, making him a professional free-skier. He also serves as patrol captain at Iwatake Ski Resort.

Tsugaike Grand Lodge is proud of its exquisite cuisine. The owner himself goes into the mountains to pick wild vegetables and mushrooms, and serves handmade 100% buckwheat noodles made from home-grown buckwheat. This handmade 100% buckwheat noodles are exquisite, with an excellent aroma and smooth texture, and the number of guests who come to enjoy this dish is increasing every year.
They also serve seafood delivered directly from Itoigawa Fishing Port, and in winter they serve different hot pots every day, such as monkfish hot pot and humpback crab hot pot. Special orders, such as sashimi platters, are also accepted. The menu changes daily, so you never know what will be served.

There is also a bar called "En" within the inn where you can enjoy a drink after your meal. You can have fun with your skiing buddies or just quietly sip your drink

Hand-made 100% buckwheat soba is exquisite. You can experience making this soba by hand for 4 hours for 4,000 yen. You can also experience making Shinshu oyaki (sweet dumplings) (only during the green season)

As the patrol captain at Iwatake Ski Resort, he is pioneering new fields within the resort. He is also active in the agricultural industry as the managing director of Shirouma Farm, and is a self-proclaimed "wild child" who continues to play in the mountains all year round.
