Sammy Carlson's signature "WHITE WALKER" series now includes a new 108mm waist size, in addition to the existing 116mm and 121mm waist sizes. Despite its size, this unique lightweight twin-tip model offers nimble handling in powder.
Recommended for powder beginners and women alike, let's take a closer look.
The unique characteristics of "Whitewalker 108"
While the all-mountain ski market with a waist circumference of 100-110mm is a highly competitive segment, Armada is differentiating itself with a unique approach. The most distinctive feature of this model is its short radius of 16.5m. With a total length of 180cm and a waist circumference of 108mm, this figure represents a specification that is unparalleled

Lightweight skis tend to be unstable, but this model achieves a high level of balance between lightness and stability by employing a thick carbon layer. Furthermore, the distinctive pin-top pin-tail shape, combined with effective rocker and a short radius, makes it suitable for a wide range of uses, from groomed slopes to the backcountry, allowing you to enjoy all kinds of movements, such as turns and slashes, with ease

Furthermore, to achieve the short radius, the tip (134mm) and tail (129mm) are designed to be relatively wide, ensuring high buoyancy that is unexpected from a 108mm width. This makes it an excellent board for powder skiing

Rider-approved ride quality and performance
To coincide with the announcement of the new model, ARMADA rider Sammy Carlson also shared his excitement about the ride on his Instagram, saying, "I can carve sharp turns and ski around the resort more freely than with any other skis I've ever ridden. I expect it to have great buoyancy on backcountry tours as well."
Furthermore, in the FWT season which recently concluded, American surfer Toby Rafford, using the continuing model "Whitewalker 116," took second place overall
It was well-received at the test ride event
The event featured a full lineup of popular models. With rider Junhiro Murai as the guide, attendees were able to take their time test riding the bikes while listening to explanations

The venue, Kashimayari Ski Resort Family Park, had hard-packed slopes primarily made of artificial snow. As a result, many test rides were seen on popular models such as the ARV, as well as metal-reinforced skis and on-piste models
Among them, the "Antimatter" series with a 92mm waist received particularly high praise. Its flex, which is neither too stiff nor too soft, matched the snow conditions well, and many users said they truly enjoyed the turns it provided

The newly introduced "Whitewalker 108" also matched the conditions of the day and was well-received due to its unique position as a semi-fat surfboard with a short radius
The wide range of models available allowed skiers to try out various models to suit their preferences, resulting in a highly satisfying event for participants
