We want to protect the winter industry from the effects of COVID-19. We want
to share this desire with everyone who loves snowy mountains
: "What we can do now"
The 2020-21 season has finally begun. While we're all concerned about the start of the snow season, we're also concerned about the future course of the COVID-19 pandemic. "GO SNOW RESORT" is a project launched by volunteers with the desire to protect the winter industry from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the ski industry and various other difficult situations.
A variety of "supporters" have endorsed this initiative, including ski resorts and related facilities, manufacturers and other companies and shops that support the winter industry, as well as athletes and the media. Incidentally, "STEEP" is also participating.
Until now, GO SNOW RESORT has focused its activities on social media, but it has now launched a website to serve as a base for disseminating information. We would like to introduce what the website is like and share with you what we can do as people who care about snowy mountains and love to ski

Eight things to keep in mind so you can ski safely
"GO SNOW RESORT" suggests the following eight things that ski resort users can do to prevent infection:

While it may seem obvious that you should not go if you are not feeling well, the wording is unique. The website states this because if you are not feeling well, even if you do not have a fever, there is a possibility that you are in the incubation period, and as your symptoms worsen, your resistance may be weakened
"I understand the feeling of not wanting to miss this day. However, this season, let's carefully consider the risks of pushing ourselves too hard."
After a heavy snowfall, you certainly don't want to miss out on some powder snow. This season, let's be more careful than usual about managing our health!

Have you installed COCOA yet?
"GO SNOW RESORT" recommends installing COCOA, so if you haven't done so yet, install it now rather than rushing to do so before you go skiing. Here's the guidance from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare:

For details, please see the link below

Check the safety measures that ski resorts are taking
GO SNOW RESORT has compiled a list of infection prevention measures that ski resorts are taking, based on guidelines released by ski resorts across the country. Since the measures implemented vary by ski resort, please check the ski resort's website for details

Survey on attitudes towards skiing during the COVID-19 pandemic
GO SNOW RESORT conducted a user survey about infection prevention measures at ski resorts. (Survey period: October 15th to 28th, 2020, 1,851 responses)
The results revealed awareness heading into this season and areas of concern regarding infection prevention measures. Here are some of the results.

35% said they would go if things remained the same as they are now, and 26% said they would go regardless. This adds up to a positive result, meaning that over 60% of people plan to go skiing this season. For those who love to ski, it seems they should be careful and take precautions to prevent infection. When doing so, be sure to keep these eight things in mind
There are also videos with messages like this
As preparations for the season continue amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a video has been produced expressing the feelings and thoughts of ski resort staff, saying, "We are taking all possible precautions and look forward to welcoming you all." GO SNOW RESORT is spreading this positive attitude widely by spreading the video on social media
a message from Yosuke Mouri, the director
who supports the activities of "GO SNOW RESORT"
"GO SNOW RESORT" is a project launched by volunteers who love the winter industry. At first glance, it may seem like an activity run by people in the industry, but that's not the case
In fact, I'm currently an ordinary office worker who works in web-related jobs at a staffing agency and sneaks off to ski resorts while keeping an eye on my wife. I'm not particularly sensitive about COVID-19 countermeasures, and honestly, I only installed COCOA after creating "What We Can Do." If I hadn't been involved in this activity, I might never have installed COCOA

Humanic Co., Ltd., where he works, operates a website that handles resort part-time job recruitment ( https://www.rizoba.com/ ).
This time, they are supporting the activities of GO SNOW RESORT and are running and planning the event.
The theme is what we should do now to prevent the spread of infection, and I thought I should give it some more thought, including basic etiquette at ski resorts and environmental initiatives like POW. From now on, we will continue to promote our activities based on the criterion of "whether it will be beneficial to the winter industry."
If people who have strong feelings about these places gradually become more aware of them and take action,
this will spread to society and
lead to protecting the places we love.
Two people are better than one, and three people are better than two, and I think "GO SNOW RESORT" is one of the activities we can all work together to spread the word. Our stance is not "Please cooperate!" but "Let's do this together!"
Let's do this together! Thank you
