Hokkaido Road Trip — Part 2
Let's ski down Japan's snowy mountains! Project launched
The arrival of a cold wave in mid-December brought heavy snowfall across mountain areas, kicking off the 2020-21 season in excellent conditions. As the year comes to an end, most ski resorts across the country have opened. There's a lot of interest in how skiers and snowboarders will navigate this season, as well as what will happen to the snow industry, and how the first season amid the COVID-19 pandemic will play out
It was against this backdrop that Burton launched the "Let's Ski Japan" campaign. Burton launched the project with this message in mind, hoping to encourage more people to enjoy Japan's charming snow-capped mountains
"The 2020-2021 winter season has started off well with plenty of snowfall. However, it's also a season heavily impacted by COVID-19. With the inbound tourism that has enlivened Japan's snow-covered mountains in recent years unlikely, Burton has launched a project called "Let's Slope in Japan" to encourage snowboarders to visit resorts.
Regardless of skill level, category, frequency, age, or gender, we will be sharing various information along with the message of "Let's Slope in Japan" to help snowboarders rediscover the charm of Japan's snow-covered mountains and enjoy snowboarding safely and fun while taking proper precautions against COVID-19."
