Yukon Heli-Skiing in Canada's Far North | Special tour with Japanese guide Jun Yanagisawa to be held in April. Limited participants now available!

A special heli-skiing tour for Japanese guests will be held in the Yukon, Canada's far north, from April 10th to 17th, 2022. Tours for Japanese guests had been suspended for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the long-awaited tour has now been confirmed for this April. As of September 7th, 2021, Canada has allowed travelers to enter the country without quarantine, provided they have been vaccinated and submit proof of a negative test result. While the outlook for the future remains somewhat uncertain, this special tour was planned on the assumption that a certain level of international travel will be restored by spring at the latest

The setting is the charming Yukon

The Yukon Territory is Canada's northernmost territory, a land of natural wonders adjacent to Alaska. It's a place packed with irresistible content for nature and travel lovers, including endless expanses of majestic nature, outdoor activities to enjoy in every season, and the beautiful aurora borealis, a curtain of light that colors the night sky

The specially planned "Yukon Heli-Skiing - 8 Days (5 Days Heli-Skiing) Departing and Returning from Japan" offers a dreamlike heli-skiing tour in the charming Yukon Territory's Coast Mountains, where you can freely ski off-piste by helicopter. What's more, you can even expect to see the aurora borealis, making this the ultimate luxury trip

You'll stay at a base called "Tiny Town," which appears in the wilderness only during the heli-skiing season. You'll also be able to enjoy the cuisine and culture of the indigenous people who live in the northernmost part of the country. Tiny Town is located directly below the "Aurora Belt," an area where the aurora frequently appears, making it a popular spot for aurora viewing. In other words, this is a special tour that gives you the opportunity to experience two special activities at the same time: heli-skiing and aurora viewing

The tour will be held during the best season in the Yukon! | April 10th (Sun) - 17th (Sun), 2022

The Yukon season lasts for roughly two months, from March to early May, when the cold air from the Arctic Ocean flows in and stormy weather continues through the middle of winter, gradually stabilizing the weather. Therefore, the tour takes place in mid-April, the best time to visit the Yukon! Flying to slopes accessible only by helicopter, you can carve out your own fast track on the vast expanse of untouched, exquisite powder snow in Whitefield. The

helicopter operator for this special tour is Yukon Heliskiing. This heliskiing company operates in Canada's northernmost region, and uses small A-Star helicopters instead of traditional large helicopters. They offer intensive tours with small groups of up to eight people.

The escort will be Jun Yanagisawa, a helicopter guide with over 30 years of experience

Your escort will be Jun Yanagisawa, a certified guide by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) with over 30 years of experience as a heli-ski guide. With his deep knowledge of Canada's mountainous regions and his vast experience and advanced technical skills, he not only offers heli-ski guiding, but also backcountry tour guides and avalanche training courses.
